Q + A

What is the dress code?

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! For our wedding, we kindly ask that guests follow a semi-formal dress code. What to Wear: Men – A dress shirt with slacks and dress shoes is perfect. A tie or blazer is optional but always a great touch. Women – A cocktail dress, a midi or maxi dress, or a classy jumpsuit would be ideal. What to Avoid: ❌Casual attire like jeans, sneakers, or t-shirts. ❌Anything too formal, such as a tuxedo or full-length ball gown. NOTE: for the ladies, we recommend avoiding heels, as the wedding will be held outdoors on possibly uneven terrain.

Are kids allowed?

Absolutely! We are planning a very family-friendly wedding, including both the ceremony and reception. We plan to have some games and activities, as well. All we ask is parents do their best to keep their kiddos quiet during the ceremony. We appreciate you!

What airport should I fly into?

Great question! There are a few different airport options for our guests coming from out of town. The closest airport is Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County (STS), which is about an hour south. Two other options are San Francisco (SFO), and Sacramento (SMF), which are both about 2.5hrs from Redwood Valley.

Where should I stay?

There are multiple hotel and AirBNB options in Redwood Valley and surrounding areas. We do have a hotel discount code for the closest hotel in Redwood Valley; Wydham Garden at Coyote Valley Casino. Please visit the hotel tab on this site for more information.

What time is the ceremony?

The ceremony is being held at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Seating will open around 2:30pm.

Where will the ceremony & reception be held?

The exact address for the ceremony & reception is noted on your invites. The ceremony & reception will both be held at the same location in Redwood Valley, CA.

Is dinner provided? When will we eat?

Yes, dinner will be provided. We are planning a Barbeque-style meal with various different meat & side options. Dinner will be at about 5pm.

Will there be alcohol?

We are planning to keep alcohol to a minimum. We will be offering our guests over the age of 21 one alcoholic beverage per person with dinner - either beer or wine. However, there will be various NA refreshments available. We appreciate your understanding.

What will the weather be like?

While it's hard to say for sure, the end of May in Redwood Valley averages anywhere between 70-90 degrees. This will be an outdoor wedding, so expect sun - we highly recommend you bring some sunscreen along!
